Congratulations go to the Roseate Hotel, De Vere Wokefield Park and Thames Lido, who were all successful in South East England’s annual tourism awards.
The Roseate Reading, Reading town centre’s 5-star hotel won Silver in the Large Hotel of the Year category, as well as Silver in the restaurant category for its Reading Room Restaurant. The boutique hotel has just 55 bedrooms and offers an intimate atmosphere, luxury and fine dining. It also has a spa and private cinema.

The restaurant, spa and pool, Thames Lido, set in the beautifully conserved premises of the former Edwardian Ladies Bathing Pool won Bronze in the Spa & Wellbeing category. This urban retreat alongside the Thames in Reading offers a high-quality restaurant, swim and dine packages, treatments as well as a bar/cafeteria. The conservation of the building itself has won numerous architectural awards.

De Vere Wokefield Estate, set in 250 acres of Berkshire countryside won Bronze for Large Hotel of the Year and Wedding Venue of the Year, as well as Silver in the Business Event Venue of the Year. Situated just 10 minutes from the M4, the Mansion House on the Wokefield Estate was first built in the 1560s.

Now, this hotel has been completely transformed following a £20 million restoration and also boasts an 18-hole PGA-standard golf course and outdoor activity course in the grounds. There’s also a fully equipped gym and indoor swimming pool available daily for guests to use.
Huge congratulations to all three businesses who epitomise the quality of Reading’s tourism offer to leisure and business visitors.
