Independent bar, Milk, launches new Cocktail Menu in tribute to Reading’s Biscuit History
24th September 2025
In a delicious nod to local history, Milk Bar Reading is proud to unveil its brand-new biscuit-themed cocktail menu, inspired by the iconic Huntley & Palmers biscuit factory that once put the town on the global tea time map.
Famously known as "the biscuit town," Reading was once home to one of the world's largest biscuit manufacturers. Huntley & Palmers shaped the town’s identity for generations, and now Milk is bringing that rich heritage back to life.
Launched on September 18, the new menu offers a delicious and nostalgic twist on cocktails. Highlights include:
- Our Jammy dodger – A perennial favourite in the tins, now in liquid form!
- Custard cream Grasshopper- An amazing twist on the classic grasshopper.
- Biscoff Martini- Irresistible, delicious, Biscoff is always a good idea.
- Ginger Nut Mojito- Firey, long and refreshing.
Also, for anyone who's visited Milk Reading before, it's releasing three new flavours of the iconic Milk Bottle cocktails. Plus, many of the cocktails are available alcohol free, so there really is something for everyone!
"Our beloved bar is located in one of Reading's oldest historic buildings (the rumour is it's the oldest working building still in operation today). With this in mind, we love honouring the rich local history of the town, This menu is our way of tipping our hat to that legacy" Tim Hooper, Owner
