Reading Dino Trail Launches This Weekend with FREE Family Fun and Exclusive Giveaways
21st July 2026
The wait is over... the dinosaurs are coming and they’re bringing freebies!
Reading Dino Trail launches this Saturday 25 July, bringing 19 giant brick-built dinosaurs to Reading town centre for four weeks of free family fun.
Running until 23 August, the trail invites visitors to explore the town, discover incredible dinosaur models, solve clues and enter a competition for the chance to win dino-mite prizes.
To celebrate the opening weekend, families can also enjoy two special free activities on Saturday 25 July:
- 🦕 Build-a-Saurus Workshop at Broad Street Mall (11am–2pm), where children can build their own brick dinosaur to take inspiration from the trail.
- 🎉 100 FREE packs of Reading Dino Trail trading cards available from Reading Museum (one pack per person, while stocks last).

Trail maps are available free from Reading Museum, Reading Central Library, Reading Station Tourist Information Stand, Broad Street Mall Customer Service Desk and The Oracle.
The Reading Dino Trail is free to take part in, suitable for all ages and runs until 23 August - making it the perfect family day out during the summer holidays.
