Flight Club Opening Its Doors This Weekend & Giving Away 400 FREE Cocktails
29th April 2026
Reading has a lot to celebrate this weekend. Not only is it a bank holiday, but Flight Club – the globally renowned Social Darts and cocktail bar – officially opens its brand-spanking-new Station Hill venue on Friday (1st May).
The perfect spot for bags of bank holiday merriment this weekend and beyond, Flight Club is kicking off its opening weekend in style, giving away over 400 free margarita cocktails across the weekend (Fri to Sun). Locals hoping to bag a free beverage just need to quote ‘FREE MARG’ at the bar to claim – first-come, first-served.
Located in Reading’s Station Hill development, adjacent to the train station, Flight Club Reading is a spectacular activity bar that is jam-packed with unexpected, ridiculous, joy. Combining the fun of the fairground with the warmth of a traditional pub, this new hotspot brings a one-of-a-kind social experience to Reading. The venue features a stunning bar, 10 semi-private oche playing areas, an outdoor terrace seating area, and a variety of different areas to cosy up with a cocktail or get in on the Social Darts action. And with space for 250 people, there’s plenty of room to get a serious party going.
Reading locals can expect a high-energy atmosphere, a menu of gorgeous cocktails, sharing dishes, DJ sets, and banging bottomless brunch sessions, all served with a side of what Flight Club calls Social Darts. It’s darts, but not as you know it – reimagined for the 21st century. Offering something for everyone, this bar is THE must-visit spot for an unforgettable time.
The setting: Fairground nostalgia meets Victorian pub
The presence of darts at Flight Club shouldn’t fool anyone into thinking they will be walking into an old, dark and dingy pub. Quite the opposite in fact. This beautiful bar is a vibe on a whole new level. Think fairground-style lights blinking in time to the music, a carousel horse and antique treasures and trinkets everywhere you turn.
Designed by Flight Club’s award-winning in-house interior design team, stand-out elements include a wrap-around bar with a dramatic fabric canopy that is illuminated with Flight Club’s signature fairground bulbs. There are nods to Reading’s history throughout, including etchings of Reading Abbey and famous Berkshire buildings. There are also references to historical Reading-founded businesses, including Huntley & Palmers, a renowned biscuit manufacturer, and Simonds Brewery.
Fun and intrigue have been injected into every corner of the bar. Play next to a carousel horse or sip cocktails in a space dubbed the greenhouse, adorned with hanging plants and birdcages. There are surprise and delight moments to be discovered at every visit.
The Game: What is Social Darts?
Flight Club has given darts a serious makeover with interactive, immersive games and tech that automatically scores by tracking every dart thrown with super-smart camera technology. Said cameras also throw out live-action replays on-screen throughout the game and later deliver them straight to players’ inboxes to relive all the action (and, of course, provide the perfect content for social media bragging!).
Social Darts is made for group get-togethers. Twelve people can play at one oche, and for bigger groups, multiple oches can be connected to allow up to 120 people to play simultaneously in an epic Social Darts showdown. It’s the perfect option for team building, corporate events, and work summer socials.
There are seven fun and fast-paced games to choose from, suitable for anyone to play. Whether a darts sniper or a total beginner, everyone has a chance to win. Games include the newly launched Limbo. Much like the classic party game, players must go lower than the score set by the previous player.
The food and drink: Sharing dishes and spectacular cocktails
The food menu at Flight Club includes crowd-pleasing dishes made for sharing and eating mid-throw. Sourdough pizza paddles, small plates and comfort bites, including chipotle steak tacos, buffalo wings and BBQ pulled pork sliders, are just some of the treats on offer.
Cocktail lovers are well catered for, too, with plenty of options to choose from, including signature cocktails, classics with a twist, cocktail slushies – perfect for balmy summer evenings – and sharing trophy cocktails served in a show-stopping trophy cup – the best way to toast the Social Darts champions.
Also on offer is a bottomless brunch of dreams. Plenty of booze, great food, and an epic time are guaranteed. The two-hour brunch session includes 60 minutes of gameplay at the oche, a bottle of prosecco per person and unlimited pizza throughout. Tickets usually cost from £38pp, but to celebrate the opening, Flight Club is offering 25% off all brunch bookings for the first month.
