Reading’s Autumn Adventure Trail returns this October

Get ready for some autumnal family fun in Reading town centre this half term, as the Reading Autumn Adventure Trail returns from 24 October – 1 November 2026.

Brought to you by Reading BID, the free trail invites families to head into the town centre, explore the shops and see if they can find all of the acorns hiding along the route.
But keep your eyes peeled for something extra special along the way… golden acorns! Count how many golden acorns you can spot as you make your way around the trail, then enter the competition for the chance to win a fantastic prize.
Free printed maps will be available from Reading Central Library, Reading Museum and the Broad Street Mall Customer Service Desk once the trail begins.
You can also download and print the map at home before heading into town.
Once you’ve embarked on your adventure, use your golden acorn count to enter the competition for the chance to win a fantastic prize.
