Get walking this June

Reading Walks Festival may be over for another year but there's lots of reasons to keep walking this June.
Hundreds of people signed up to more than 40 walks in and around Reading as part of May's Reading Walks Festival, walking more than 4000 kilometres between them in total. And many of the festival's walk leaders and local walking groups are offering walks in June too so you can keep those steps going.

- The Victorian Reading architectural walk sold out quickly. Happily, Stephen Gage has turned his guided walk into a self-guided leaflet which you can download or pick up a hard copy from Reading Museum.
- Terry’s Reading Walkabouts has a guided Katesgrove walk on 9 June.
- University of Reading have 3 different Centenary campus walks during June.
- Earley Environmental Group have walks or purchase their self guided walks book .
- Pipsticks Walks walk throughout the year in the Chiltern Hills, Thames Valley and North Wessex Downs.
- Thames Path National Trail celebrates its 30 anniversary in June. As part of a relay walk, they will be walking from Goring to Reading on 16 June and Reading to Henley on 17 June. If you want to join them, you can find out more here.
- Reading Museum have an Oscar Wilde Tour on 6 June and their popular Abbey Quarter Tours every Saturday.
- The Marshians conservation group are walking from Holy Brook Nook as part of Reading Climate Festival.
