Taste the World on Broad Street as Reading Food Festival Returns this May
24th April 2026
Reading town centre is set to come alive with sizzling street food, feel-good music and flavours from around the globe as Reading Food Festival kicks off next month. Delivered in partnership between REDA (Reading’s Economic Development Agency) and Blue Collar, the event continues its long-standing place in the town’s cultural calendar, previously known as Eat Reading.

Taking place over two days, from 9 - 10 May 2026, the festival invites visitors into a lively food destination where traders will be serving up everything from spicy street eats to sweet indulgences from 11am to 6pm each day.
This year’s edition brings together an especially diverse line-up of traders from across the world, with flavours spanning Mexico, Korea, Peru, Ethiopia, Nigeria, Sri Lanka, Greece, Thailand, Turkey, Spain and beyond, with standout offerings ranging from bold street tacos and Korean chicken skewers to traditional paella cooked fresh on site.

Among the returning highlights are award-winning and cult-favourite vendors such as The Burger Society, recognised for its British Street Food Award-winning burgers, and local favourites from Reading’s own independent food scene, bringing a distinctly local voice to a globally inspired line-up.
Nigel Horton-Baker, Chief Executive of REDA said: “Reading Food Festival remains a highlight of the town’s annual calendar, bringing together families, students, residents, visitors, and independent businesses to celebrate international culture and food.
Come and enjoy our lively town centre in full swing!”
The full list of vendors will be announced early next month. Find out more here: visit-reading.com/whats-on/reading-food-festival
