From traditional Christmas fayre and tasty grub, to quirky gifts and crafts - here’s our pick of the best Christmas Markets in and around Reading that you won’t want to miss.

It’s back — and bigger, brighter and tastier than ever! Head to Broad Street’s Christmas Market for sizzling bratwurst, gooey toasted marshmallows, waffles, crepes, giant cookies and all the festive snacks you can dream of. Grab a gluhwein (or something stronger from the bar), pick up some quirky gifts, and let the smell of roasted chestnuts and Christmas carvery pull you through the twinkling stalls. Warning: you might just leave jingling all the way home.

Enjoy a day of festive fun at the Artisa Christmas Market, featuring 40 local artists, makers, and artisans selling unique handmade gifts. With Santa’s Grotto, children’s crafts, live choir performances, delicious food and homemade cakes, it’s a vibrant event perfect for all ages.

Enjoy a festive weekend browsing handmade gifts, crafts and treats, from jewellery and candles to locally made honey, quirky art and delicious Indian food. There's lots to see (and taste!).
Get a head start on your festive shopping at this year’s Christmas Craft Fayre in Burghfield, featuring over 40 stalls of handmade and personalised gifts, crafts and treats. With a tombola and plenty of festive cheer, it’s a great day out — all while supporting Guy’s & St Thomas’ Charity and BIBs. Entry £1.
Set in the picturesque village of Yattendon, this popular Winter Market returns for its sixth year, showcasing the work of 24 talented artists and makers from the Modern Makers Collective. Discover beautifully crafted jewellery, ceramics, textiles and more.
Right in the heart of town, you'll find the Reading Town Hall Christmas Market this November! With stalls spread across the Soane Space, the Museum, and The Concert Hall foyer, this fully accessible market is packed with festive finds. Plus, the Reading Museum shop will be open for even more gift inspiration. It’s a one-stop festive shop.
If you’re after variety, Sindlesham Court’s Christmas Market has you covered. With over 50 stalls offering a huge selection of festive goods, it’s a great spot to browse for gifts, treats and seasonal surprises. There’s a café on-site to keep you fuelled, plus a tombola for a bit of extra fun. Entry and parking are both free, making it an easy and enjoyable day out for the whole family.

Cavmas is in full swing on 5 December, bringing Caversham's Christmas Market to St. Martin's Precinct. Featuring local artisans, delicious hot food, mulled wine and plenty of unique gift ideas, there'll be plenty to browse! Alongside the market, you can meet two real reindeer with their elves, listen to some fantastic live music and pop by Fourbears Bookshop to see the ‘Reverse Santa’ collecting gifts for local children. Browse a fantastic selection of handmade and personalised gifts at the Calcot Hotel Winter Craft Fayre — from woodwork and glassware to festive foods and crafts. Enjoy mulled wine and mince pies as you shop, all while supporting the BIBs charity at the Royal Berkshire Hospital. Entry £1.
