Reading features as one of the UK’s top 10 fastest-growing areas for jobs and new talent in a new report published by LinkedIn. The Cities on the Rise list spotlights the smaller-to-mid-sized metro areas where professionals are increasingly getting hired, jobs are being posted and newcomers are putting down roots via professional migration, hiring and job postings data.
The report links Reading’s strong appeal to a professional workforce to its vibrant economy - forecast to be the UK's fastest‑growing local economy throughout 2025-28, significant tech cluster, proximity to London and the transformation of its centre around the Station Hill development.
