Funded by Reading BID and delivered by M.AD Agency, the ten-day celebration brought together 24 venues across Reading, encouraging residents and visitors to explore the town's bars, restaurants and hospitality businesses through an exclusive cocktail wristband.
The results demonstrate the value of collaborative town centre events:
- 3,039 attendees
- 24 participating venues
- Over 2 million social media views
- 24% average sales increase reported by participating businesses compared with previous years
- 263 cocktails sold on average per venue
- £420,000 estimated direct economic impact
Businesses reported seeing significant increases in footfall and new customers throughout the event, with many welcoming first-time visitors through their doors.

Customer feedback also highlighted the event's success in encouraging exploration. Attendees visited an average of nine venues during the ten days, while 86% said they discovered new venues and drinks and 88% said the event improved their perception of Reading's hospitality scene.
Perhaps most encouragingly, the event has built strong momentum for the future. More than 90% of attendees said they would purchase a wristband again next year, while participating businesses overwhelmingly expressed their enthusiasm to return.
Local businesses praised the event for bringing new customers into the town centre.
"Such a great event to be involved with, hundreds of new customers and a real buzz around the town. People were clearly having fun exploring Reading." — Milk Bar
"The event helped drive new guests to our venue, giving us the opportunity to showcase our unique experience and premium cocktail offering to a wider audience." — Flight Club Reading
The event also delivered an extensive marketing campaign, generating over 2 million social media views and 56,000 website visits, helping position Reading as a vibrant destination for food, drink and nightlife.
Following the success of this year's event, Reading Cocktail Week will return in 2027, with plans to build on this year's achievements and involve even more businesses across the town centre.
