About the BID

A Business Improvement District is a defined area where businesses have voted to fund local business-based activities and services which help to enhance their trading environment. Reading BID has been in operation since 2006, with a second BID voted in during 2019, covering the Abbey Quarter District. Both BIDs are managed by REDA, Reading's Economy & Destination Agency.

Our work includes exploring new approaches to combating crime, increasing footfall, attracting and retain skilled staff and supporting the night-time economy. We work alongside the wider business community and those investing in Reading to create a more cohesive town centre for everyone to enjoy.
