As major film and TV productions roll out across Reading’s Cine Valley, there is a huge demand for services to support them, ranging from hair & makeup, costume, and carpenters to logistics, legal, and accountancy services.
Reading was named a Creative Capital in 2023 by the Department for Culture, Media and Sport due to its high concentration of fast-growing creative businesses and skilled workers.
Since then, REDA has been holding a series of networking events aimed at connecting film industry professionals with those creators and creative businesses in the Greater Reading area, building the supply chain necessary to develop Reading’s Creator Economy.
