REDA Awarded Prestigious CSR World Leader Award at Palace of Westminster
2nd December 2025
REDA (Reading’s Economy and Destination Agency) has been officially named a CSR World Leader at a prestigious ceremony at the Palace of Westminster. The honour, awarded by The CSR Society, part of The Green Organisation, marks REDA’s third major CSR recognition in recent months.

This award was given in recognition of REDA’s achievement being published in The CSR World Leaders Work of Reference, following a rigorous assessment by experts from CSR-A and the Green Apple Awards. The submission showcased REDA’s wide-ranging work to support businesses and the local workforce, improve sustainability in the town centre, coordinate charitable giving initiatives and deliver meaningful social value across Reading.
These achievements reflect REDA’s long-term commitment to helping Reading move towards Net Zero, supporting economic inclusion and strengthening the town’s social fabric.
For a full breakdown of the programmes, outcomes and measurable successes behind this award, readers are encouraged to view the newly published Social Impact Report 2025.
Nigel Horton-Baker, Chief Executive of REDA, said: “Community impact is at the heart of our organisation—the way we operate and how we deliver services to businesses and local communities across Reading.
REDA is helping to support young people with careers advice and helping residents find jobs and start new businesses. Our Business Improvement District team provides services that help town centre businesses fulfil their corporate social responsibility and reduce their carbon footprint.”
A Growing Reputation for Excellence
The CSR World Leader Award follows REDA’s recent International CSR Excellence Award at St Paul’s Cathedral and its Silver CSR Accreditation, reflecting the organisation’s rising national profile in responsible leadership.
As guardians of the Reading Place Brand, REDA continues to embed sustainability, social inclusion and ethical governance into all areas of its work—shaping a more prosperous, inclusive and environmentally responsible Reading for the future.
