REDA Champions Local Innovation at Inaugural Reading Tech Cluster Investment Summit
10th July 2025
REDA is proud to support the Reading Tech Cluster (RTC), a vital new initiative powering the region’s thriving tech industry. On Friday 4 July 2025, the RTC held its first-ever Investment Summit at the ICMA Centre, Henley Business School – a landmark event marking the formal launch of the organisation.
The Summit event brought together a vibrant mix of innovators, investors, and thought leaders to spotlight the incredible tech talent rooted in Reading and the wider Thames Valley region. Central to the day were eight high-potential scale-ups, each delivering compelling investment pitches across sectors including vertical farming, medical technology, AI, ecommerce, and data management. All companies presenting are based locally, actively trading, and seeking the investment needed to fuel their next phase of growth.
Alongside the pitches, keynote presentations outlined the scale of opportunity in the UK’s investment landscape, backed by data, insight, and a clear message: Reading is uniquely positioned as a hub of tech excellence.
Throughout the day, conversations focused on connection, collaboration, and commercial growth, reinforcing Reading’s reputation as the heart of the UK’s Silicon Valley – home to innovation, a deep talent pool, and unrivalled connectivity.
“The Summit showed the depth of innovation and ambition we have right here in Reading,” said Mark Pearson, Head of Economic Development at REDA. “REDA is proud to back the Reading Tech Cluster and support the businesses that are not only building the future of our local economy, but helping shape the UK’s wider tech landscape.”
REDA’s support for the Reading Tech Cluster underlines its commitment to ensuring that local businesses have access to the networks, investment, and strategic backing needed to grow and expand in the area. As the region continues to develop as a technology powerhouse, events like RTC’s Investment Summit are key to building the relationships and momentum that will ultimately shape the future of Reading’s economy.
