Pikachu snow window

About

Step into a winter wonderland in Reading this Christmas with Reading's Snow Window Trail! From Thursday 26 November, shopfronts across the town centre will be transformed with unique, hand-painted snow designs, each one a magical creation designed by the talented Tom Baker.

Wander through the streets and spot these enchanting festive scenes, from snowy villages and twinkling trees to joyful characters. It’s the perfect free activity for families, friends, or anyone looking to soak up more of the festivities as they explore the town’s shops, cafes and Christmas market.

Ready to explore? Follow the trail using our digital map or pick up a printed copy in the Christmas in Reading brochure, available at selected locations around town.

There's a little challenge along the way, too!

Look out for the gingerbread men hiding beside the QR code at each Snow Window. Count them as you go, then enter your total using the competition form for the chance to win a £50 John Lewis voucher! Enter by 24 December.

As you explore Reading’s snowy shopfronts, keep an eye out for Tap for Reading donation points around the town centre. A simple tap is all it takes to help someone facing the cold this Christmas. Find out more here.
