Reading has a vibrant café culture, with a healthy mix of well-known coffee chain favourites, as well as some locally-loved independents. You’ll find a number of cafes dotted along the main shopping streets of Broad Street and Friar Street in the town centre, as well as their connecting streets, so you’re never more than a few minutes’ walk from a coffee stop.

For caffeine-lovers, Workhouse Coffee, Tamp Culture Coffee, Anonymous Coffee Co and CUP offer a great selection of flavours and strengths. To grab a bite with your hot drink, Picnic, Shed or the Global Café offer tempting lunch and snack menus. 7 Flowers and Tea serves speciality tea and cakes in its beautiful florist setting and the Pantry at Reading Town Hall makes a great pitstop after a visit to Reading Museum.
