Street Cleaning

Every week, our deep cleaning contractor jet washes the pedestrianised areas of the town centre. The council’s street care team do a fantastic job of sweeping the streets, but these jet washes take cleaning a step further, penetrating the paving enough to lift the dirt and grime that accumulates from foot and vehicle traffic, gum and bird droppings. The cleaners use 180°C heated water to lift dirt quickly and efficiently, completely chemical-free.

By jet washing the pavement and seating areas often, we're seeking to set a high standard for Reading streets, making it not only a nicer place for everyone who visits, but a town that everyone can be proud of.
