From arts and exhibitions to gigs and comedy, there are many fantastic events in Reading for the whole family to enjoy. Reading is also home to a number of long-standing festivals and community-led celebrations running year-round, from Reading Pride and Water Fest through to the UK’s third-largest festival, Reading Festival, which welcomes over 100,000 visitors to Reading every August bank holiday.

For live shows and performance events, check out Reading's four award-winning theatres. Exhibitions are often held at Reading Museum, as well as permanent collections. Reading's 150-year old Reading Football Club hosts regular sporting events and there are food markets and pop-up events for the foodies, too.
