“Theatre in unusual spaces” is the ethos of SITELINES, which brings this unique drama to the Malmaison Hotel. “I DO” peels back the layers of love, family, and chaos in the final ten minutes before a wedding. Split into small groups, you’ll move between rooms, following intimate, overlapping stories, becoming voyeurs in a fully immersive experience where every glance, touch, and whispered secret counts.
The February half-term brings all manner of events and activities for kids and families. There are things to see – like children’s theatre at South Street and Reading Rep, and wrestling or a relaxed concert from the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra at The Hexagon. Things to do? Try activities and crafts and LEGO at Reading Town Hall, Reading Museum and Reading Libraries or music classes from Kindermusik with Sarah – and much more!

The Reading Lantern Parade is now firmly a Valentine’s Day tradition, bringing an evening of love and light to Reading town centre. Bring your loved ones and experience the magic of hundreds of beautifully crafted lanterns glowing in the night. Whether you’re celebrating with a partner, family or friends, this illuminated parade with drumming and music is the perfect way to make your Valentine’s weekend unforgettable.

The RSO are looking to share the love with their Valentine's Day Concert at the Great Hall. They'll be joined by soloist Charlie Lovell-Jones for Korngold's Violin Concerto. Pieces by Wagner, Holst and R. Strauss will also be on the programme.
Founded in 1947, the critically acclaimed Varna International Ballet returns to The Hexagon with two more stunning productions, each featuring acclaimed international dancers and a live orchestra. This year’s programme boasts Cinderella – with Prokofiev’s exhilarating score – on 23 Feb and Tchaikovsky’s haunting and unforgettable Swan Lake on 24 Feb.
“Here you go, way too fast, don't slow down, you're gonna crash…”
Fronted by indiepop blonde bombshell Tracy Tracy, The Primitives emerged from the UK independent music scene of the mid-1980s, championed by Peel and Morrissey and crossing over the mainstream with their hit “Crash”. Reuniting in 2009, they continue to play their brand of jingly-guitar pop-rock, and bring all that and more to The Facebar this month.
Willy Russell’s classic comedy of class, culture, and change is the latest production from Reading Rep Theatre. Bursting with heart and sharp humour, this modern classic is as powerful and relevant today as ever as it was 40 years ago

Priya Malik is an Indian actress, poet and storyteller – and appeared on both the Australian and Indian versions of Big Brother. She comes to the Great Hall this February in one of only two UK tour dates for 'Ishq Hai', a soul‑stirring blend of poetry, music, and storytelling that brings back the romance of the ’90s in full bloom.
When you think of Reading Museum, you might think they're more "Huntley & Palmers" than "Dungeons & Dragons", but this month that all changes! They're hosting another day of gaming – try out classic board games, a variety of ancient games, and/or book a place in our epic Dungeons & Dragons adventure. Whether you’re a seasoned gamer or curious to have a go, come and roll the dice, make new friends, and explore the timeless joy of gaming!

Reading's much-loved a capella singing troupe the Readiophonics are turning 10 this year! And they're celebrating by - you guessed it - some a capella singing. And this time, you're invited to join them for a workshop where they'll guide you on the ins and outs of modern a capella... which you'll then perform with them in a free concert open to all.
